Made to Measure

The Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium aim to make their rooms and collections accessible to each visitor. Everyone must have an equal opportunity to visit the museum in a personal and adapted way, regardless of disability, culture, language or any other restriction.

 Four customized programmes

Made to Measure offers guided tours, creative courses, workshops and themed activities tailored to specific audiences: blind and partially sighted, deaf and hearing impaired, people with mental and/or physical disabilities, ... Made to Measure distinguishes four public groups with specific offers. The following are the themes offered, but a visit à la carte is always possible.

In the company of a guide, enter the pictorial space of René Magritte's paintings. Sound and musical excerpts, tactile copies and selected objects complete the viewing of paintings and sculptures whilst a dialogue naturally unfolds.


For the deaf and hearing impaired public (SIGN LANGUAGE)

Guided tours in French and Dutch only

Visioguides are available. They present 21 works by Magritte on a touch screen in Belgian-French sign language (LSFB), Flemish sign language (VGT) and international sign language (ISL).
