The Magritte Museum celebrates its 10th anniversary!

Celebration

Since its opening in 2009, the Magritte Museum has welcomed more than 3 million international visitors. And you? Discover the new art selection of the Magritte Museum - which has the largest collection of works by the famous Belgian surrealist - and celebrate this anniversary with us on 24 November 2019!

Guided tours, creative workshops, performances and many other activities await you, whether you are young or old!

ACTIVITIES

ECHO, a hybrid performance composed of light and sound, proposes another way to look at the works of this major 20th century artist and to experience the exhibition spaces. Their universe is close to that of Magritte's: through their reflections on the image, the perception of things as well as our relationship to reality. Le Geste qui sauve offers an original performance, specifically designed for the museum's spaces.

The Compagnie du Réverbère, a group of six actors from the Royal Conservatory, offers you a multidisciplinary stage. They bring together Theatre, Poetry, Art and Museum to question the relationship of the individual to work or the decline of our democracies.

The Grande Droguerie Poétique and its mobile laboratory are set up on Place Royale to fill you with delightful thoughts and poetic debates. Everyone will find something to bring them joy, stimulate their imagination or reveal their most hidden desires...

If Magritte was... : writing and drawing workshops led by Chloé Schuiten, Aliette Griz and Elisabeth Woronoff (Les Midis de la Poésie).
